Why are you participating for Based India?
I am participating in Based India to contribute to the growth of India's manufacturing sector by introducing cutting-edge AI technology for quality control. This project leverages my background in engineering and artificial intelligence to address critical challenges in Indian industries, improving efficiency and reducing waste. My connection to the region stems from my desire to drive technological advancement within my community and the broader Indian manufacturing ecosystem.
What challenges are you focusing on?
My project focuses on challenges in Indian manufacturing, such as inefficient quality control, manual errors, downtime in production, and the need for better predictive maintenance systems. These challenges hamper productivity, increase costs, and lead to waste in the sector
How does your submission address this challenge?
My AI-powered solution automates quality control processes, providing real-time defect detection and predictive maintenance. By integrating machine learning algorithms, the system adapts to varying production lines, ensuring customizable standards of quality for different industries. This results in reduced downtime, improved production quality, and a decrease in operational costs, ultimately boosting the efficiency of India's manufacturing sector.
Challenges I ran into
One of the key challenges was ensuring that the AI models could handle a variety of manufacturing environments with different quality standards. Another challenge was integrating the system into legacy hardware. We overcame these by training the AI on diverse datasets and creating a modular design that allowed for easy hardware integration.
Additional Features
During the Buildathon, I enhanced the real-time data processing capabilities and added an interactive dashboard for manufacturers to monitor production metrics more efficiently.
